My first ever Park Run!

The reason I joined C25K in the first place was because I wanted to join my daughters in a Park Run. Well, on Saturday, for the first time, I surprised them all by turning up not as a supporter, but as a RUNNER!

Yes, it took me 43 minutes, and the only people slower than me were those walking or those running with young children, but I did it. And I ran the whole way without stopping, despite the heat.

It was granddaughter’s first Park Run too, in her new running buggy. Here’s a photo of me, my three daughters, grandchild, and the dog.

So pleased and still can’t believe it. 😆

Wow that's fantasic!

I came across my local Park Run completely by accident a couple of weeks ago when I went out to complete my run. At that point I didn't even know they existed! I came home and googled it thinking it would be something you would have to pay to enter. It's so wonderful that all you need to do is register.

Once my son and I have completed the programme we're going to do it together.

Happy running :-)

Don't wait! Get along now. :) . You can even use it to run your scheduled run. It's perfectly acceptable to walk as well as run. Wish I'd started earlier!
