44yrs old, suffer from anxiety & about 2 stone overweight -have finally decided to get fitter so started interval training in Feb. Just begun c25k w1r2 -second run much harder than first but do feel so positive afterwards. Hope I keep it up -I can see how it clears your mind

There is now substantial evidence of the positive impact of exercise (and running specifically) on mental as well as physical health, So keep pressing on! Slowly, slowly and you will make progress...and this forum will help.

I also did W1R2 today but found it a huge effort - love walking fast but jogging (snail’s pace really!) seems so difficult and wonder how I’m ever going to get fitter. Feel bit despondent at the mo., but must keep going, as I’m sure lot of people felt like this during first week?
