So run two was supposed to be today...my running partner has cancelled on me! I’m waiting until tomorrow so my fiancé can come with me. I really need someone to push me (currently if it got too hard I’d stop!). I’ve never been able to go to the gym etc on my own.
I’m hoping that as the weeks go on I catch this “running addiction” people speak of and won’t care about going out myself.
I have a stunning park literally on my doorstep, I just know I wouldn’t push myself on my own - a confidence thing I think.

We all struggle sometimes especially at the beginning . You've got to remember you're asking your body to do a new exercise . Keep going slow and remember plenty water 😊
You will get it. Running is mostly singular. You, your thoughts, your music, your pace, your style. Maybe finding yourself, your confidence, it all comes. Then you have the run rush! It s all great. Well done !
It will, there is also the ‘god why am I doing this’, then yourdone! Yep you feel good, high, elated ( for the others perhaps annoying ) or is that just me. 😳
Yes, exactly. Nothing can go wrong. It’s you and your run. Other people will admire you. I have had nothing but positive comments. At 1st I only ran where no one would see me, then I thought, just do it.
After my struggle on Monday with my first run I made a real effort to slow it down. It was still hard but more manageable. Glad I went out even though I really didn't want to. Hopefully you get out tomorrow
It will happen Jane! Suddenly you will relax into the rhythm of it and not want to miss or wait for anyone. If ever there is a program to build your confidence this is it!!! 🌺
It is so much easier to just brisk walk to the park and run there and brisk walk home, than going to a gym. I do hope you’ll try it. You might not enjoy the running at first but you’ll love the feeling afterwards.
