I'm just about to go out for my first run, waited til it got dark though. Hate the dark but hate people also. I'm so nervous but excited to see where this could take me.

Dreading the cold though, going to put the heating on before I go out and have a shower once I'm in

I can't stop smiling. I went out and did it and that's more than I thought I could do if I'm honest. My brother lives away from me but loves running so I go after he finishes work so we can run at the same time

I only managed to do 25 minutes, skipped the last couple of runs/walks because I couldn't catch my breathe. But that comes with learning, feel really proud of myself and am looking forward to hopefully beating the 25 minutes of today on Wednesday

Yep - no big deal if you can't complete any session off the first crack at it. Keep it slow. 25 minutes of the session is huge. I hope you're proud of yourself.

Great for getting started. You are not alone I started with runs in the dark because I felt so self conscious it wasn't long before I gave daylight running a go, end of week 2 I think. Good luck with the running.

You do realise you'll catch the bug, which by the way is fantastic! On your rest days you'll be itching to go on your next run.

Watch out for aching jaw muscles, they'll come from the ridiculously wide grin you'll have when you finished another run or reached another milestone.

Good luck with the program and enjoy it

Hope you had a great session!

Well done and Welcome to the board !

Please keep posting as it is great to look back and see how far you have come . We all started pretty much the same , all very nervous and unsure , but you will find that your confidence will soar as you progress through the programme .

Good Luck, you can do this ! :-) xxx
