First 5k Bling!

Today's run was the first run that First Born & I signed up to way back in January when we started the C25K program. April 29th seemed such a long a way off back then & then, ta-da! it was today. The course was on the sand at Swansea Bay and whoo, was it hard running on really wet, sloppy sand and damp, churned up sand but we did it - I had to walk some of the way because the sand was just too difficult to run on but I ran 98% of the course. First Born walked some of it too but I was so proud to see her running the last part & into the funnel. Feeling really brilliant now :)

PS we're yellow because it was a Rainbow Colour Run :D

Yes sand is hard to run on, so you did well.

Running on the sand was awful - it was absolutely soaking in parts so we were running through big puddles of sea water & churned up in others so difficult to run on. Hey ho, it was a good experience :D
