It was the very first Marlborough Parkrun this morning and my first too!! Just a 5 min walk from my house, the course is on Marlborough Common. Two laps. Perfect.....
We did it! Everyone was very friendly and supportive. We've been running 5k on the lovely flat railway line for a few weeks now. This was so different. Grass. Inclines- not steep but quite long and hard work! And it was damp too! For the first time Runkeeper decided not to work so had no idea of pace or distance!
We were near the back, as we expected. Amazingly time was 43:18. Not much slower than my flat PB!
Very achy now. Not used to running on grass and definitely have to run up more hills!
Photo is dreadful! A mix of sweat and rain... But we were still smiling at the end! π€ͺπ€ͺπ€ͺπ€ͺπ€ͺ
Going to volunteer next week then have another go the week after!

Oh yes! π well done! Great pic, the first of many, and well done you to nab an inaugural parkrun as your first, you will be a founding member of that parkrun, how great is that! So, this means you HAVE to keep going, every week....I see milestone t-shirts on the horizon.....
I love parkrun....best invention ever! β€οΈ Today is a good day! πββοΈ
Well done Ang! I think it's a great photo - there's an official one of me sprint finishing in which I look absolutely dreadful π€£ I'm strangely proud of it though because I know how much effort I was giving it.
I'm sure you'll enjoy volunteering as much as running - I certainly do x
Really glad to see you have taken part in a Parkrun. They are wonderful aren't they. Well done to both of you! πππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈπ
