Well another bad run. I was in to much pain to finish the last run today. New runners over the weekend and restart Week 2 again on Monday I think.

Get ready for the deluge of replies .... never such a thing as a "bad run". I keep getting told that and eventually I guess I have started believing it!
Maybe not a bad run then. More of a run I wasn't happy with.
From frequent personal experiences I know only too well exactly what you mean! The folks on this forum have a habit of calling them 'practice runs'!
Where was your pain?
Calves, shins and upper feet
Other than the pain I could have done more I feel.
those pains are pretty much part and parcel of starting out - not suggesting you should have ignored them, just reassuring you that's pretty normal and not anything more sinister.
There will be some discomfort of that kind as your body gets used to the whole running schlemozzle, but it does pass. Rest up a couple of days and press on.
making sure you are properly hydrate wil help a lot with muscle aches - and that means drinking lots of water the day before each run rather than just knocking back a glass before you go out. Also try doing some strengthening exercises - calf raises etc (although not necessarily today). All that will help.
I did expect a lot of pain but didn't think it would stop me foolishly 😁
Do you think I should push on to week 3 then or would I be better off repeating this week.
If you got through to the last run of the last day and stopped a little short from discomfort I would count that as done and push on, particularly if you felt you had more energy in the tank and it was only the feet etc stopping you. You are under no obligation to, of course. If you feel you'd be happier repeating W2 then go for it - whatever works is king. BUt I wouldn't deem it necessary. You can always start W3 and if you find it too much drop back to W2.
A run is a run regardless & there are no bad runs just practice runs 😁 Don't repeat Week 2, keep going.
If you look at some of the graduates early posts as they were going through the program, you will see many, including me, who have felt exactly as you have.
Don't repeat Week 2, just keep going & move onto Week 3. Let us know how you get on.
I'm going to give W3 a go on Monday and see how things go
I'll keep you all posted 👍🏻
That's the spirit. Remember to take it slowly & at a steady pace. You will get there 👍
