Just finished run 1 week 1 and feeling utterly shattered, but optimistic!!! Got a pounding headache probably down to the fact I didn't take any water with me and the sun was absolutely scorching!! Intrigued to see how I'll feel in the morning πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Well done for making a start! I remember my first run, was also absolutely knackered after that, but it will get easier! I don't take water with me at this point (end of week 3), but I make sure I drink water beforehand and immediately after.

Thanks! I think joining this community will inspire me to get out there, it's great knowing that other people are doing the exact same thing as me!

Oh yes - I'm not a forum person at all, but this place is great. I only wish they had a clubhouse in London or something! Would be great to socialise over a post-run coffee or something :D

Definitely! This is the first forum type thing I've ever joined and it's already making me feel supported to continue! Haha that would be amazing πŸ˜…

Try and hydrate before your run. Actually, try and stay hydrated all the time. Unless it is really hot you probably won't need to carry any water during the C25K runs (your body can survive for 30 minutes without drinking, even during exercise). But that headache almost certainly is caused through dehydration (or possibly from squinting if the sun was bright).
