still following the program "loosely" 3 runs a week but been amazing how much has changed over the 7 weeks ive been running. week one, no proper shoes to week 7 doing my third park run in 26:49. ive never been happier about myself and this confident in well over 10 years. so many compliments from people i know and the banter from the father in law "skinny b******" :D

Brilliant, and I'd say you have a super speedy running journey ahead of you.... that's a great time. Well done and keep at it 😎

Well done. Take it steady though! Don't get caught up with fast running and all the leg slamming that goes with it. If you do too much too soon you will get hurt

Steady progress! It takes 18 months to 24 months to build running legs, so go carefully. Wags finger 😊

I avoid parkruns as I can't stop myself going hell for leather. I have a race next weekend so can't afford to blow it. Your competitive streak gets the better of you, sometimes to your detriment. I am nearly 60 mind you 😊

Good luck with the race next week MW.. you nearly 60! Coo youngster!

Cycling, although great for the legs it doesn't put the stress through them like running and will lead to injury if not built up gradually, can only see a trip to the IC not far away⚠

I have to get my bike out too! Ta for the timely reminder. Looks like I will be going solo as my OH seems to have lost interest in his fabulous new bike. I thought it wouldn't last 🙄
