Knee pain

Hi, I'm on WK7 R3 and really enjoying the plan, however after my last run my knees where really aching. After a days rest they felt ok but the day after (run day) my right knee was really aching so decided not to run. It's still aching today but desperate to go out, Anyone else had any knee pain? And did you try and run through it? any advice would be good xx

  • I've not had any knee pain but I would say if it's still hurting today then take another rest day as much as you want to go out.

Don't try and run through it and get yourself an injury and end up not being able to run for onger than a few days because you end up on the IC

  • Yes, It does happen, these niggles can happen with your body getting used to running, rest up it should fade away so you can carry on, slow & steady.. not that far from graduating..😊

  • I decided to give it a go, slow and steady. It's seems to have helped if anything, and didn't experience any pain whilst running only a niggle when walking. Guess I will know in the morning if it's aggravated it. Fingers crossed. Just feel Ive got too far in the plan and don't want to miss runs. I feel like I have the running bug 😀

  • My knees became a bit sore too. After a bit of online reading I read that it might be caused by muscle tightness pulling the knee cap so did some stretches which seemed to help. Well done so far 😊
