Well, I did it! Today I finished the last run of the Programme. I was supposed to do it yesterday, but I met for drinks with some friends on Thursday night and things got a bit out of hand... When I woke up yesterday I didn't have any energy and I missed the run. But this morning I was a good girl and as soon as I woke up I put on my running shoes and went out there. And it was a great run! I was determined to finish the Programme this week, so giving up in the middle of it wasn't an option. That thought gave me more stamina somehow and when I hit 30 minutes I was the closest I have ever been to 4K, so I decided to keep going until I reached that distance. The result: 4K in 34.56 and a very happy Yaskas!
After this let me tell you when I started 10 weeks ago I panted like crazy after every 60 second run, I never thought I could make it till the end and nevertheless here I am. I used to think running was boring and couldn't understand how people could enjoy it. Well, I get it now, running requires you to get in contact with yourself, you have to manage your energy and listen to your body, because most of the times, when you think you can't take another step it is your brain who is saying so, your body can endure much more than you think, and I don't know about you, but that for me is worth the struggle!
Happy running everyone!
