Hi everyone im chelsea. I've just done my first run yesterday and I thought it sounded easy enough 60 seconds running 90 seconds walking repeat 7 times.. I was so wrong it was really hard I had a headache when I got home afterwards and I woke up with my legs aching. I'm training for the RAF fitness test as that's my goal to be fit enough to join the RAF and I really hope I can finish this programme and smash my goals. If any of you have any tips for me give me a shout! Good luck everyone and thanks
Day 1: Hi everyone im chelsea. I've just done my... - Couch to 5K
Day 1
Well done! The headache could have been down to dehydration, need to drink enough water all of the time and not just before running, and you may be running too fast, slow slow it right down, and also stretch well after your runs... Lots of good info on this link for the newbie.. good luck with your goals..
Well done! Sounds like you have got a great focused goal
well done X
You go Chelsea, good luck reaching that goal
Well done. Agree with the suggestion that the headache might be dehydration. Running in this weather is an energy and liquid sapper.
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
The guide linked to by davelinks is essential reading.
Enjoy your journey.
Thank you for your support everyone and next time I'll be sure to take some water with me it was a really sunny day and the heat has been unbearable recently but I figured if I don't start now I will just keep putting it off! I'll be doing my second run tomorrow today I rested a bit and went for lunch with a friend but then I cycled for a bit but I've joined the local gym and might start doing a few classes there as well
Well done . Starting is often the hardest part .. you have done that now ...
Enjoy each run , take those rest days and stick with it .. you won't regret it and you will achieve your goals 😊
Sure Will
