Graduation Day!

Thank you one and all for being so supportive and advising me along the way. I started C25K back in July using the NHS podcast which was good and informative but when I discovered the app, it was a game changer. I hope you’re all doing your best out there and I’ll continue with this programme so as to keep my fitness and stamina. This morning’s run was enjoyable although quite hard at times. My hair kept flopping away and I was bursting for a wee by the end. I’ve had to increase water consumption as a runner as my body needs more! 👍💪👊🙏

Well done - so ch an achievement. I share your wee pain - definitely affects the routes I take as very often need a wee stop - definite age thing🤣

Congratulations! Really well done for getting through it. Now it;'s a case of keeping it up. I graduated last summer; still running three times a week and am up to running (only twice so far) for 50 minutes. I'm mixing a short run, a C25K-type run, and a long run. It's working so far! Good luck!

Well done! I feel like I’ve passed my driving test again and now is the time I’ll really learn to adapt as a runner and keep improving my energy and stamina. I’ve joined a Yoga and Zumba class to aid flexibility as well. Enjoy 😘🙏❤️

Oh, that's brill! I blow hot and cold with the other exercises: I do all my pre and post run routines, I do what I need for my shoulder, but I don't always keep up with strength and core work. I'll go a few days or a week being "good", then get busy and the routine will slip. So well done you for adding structure with proper classes. 🙌

Congratulations Heti, and so you should feel really proud of yourself, go girl and keep on going.Look out for my post, probably Tuesday when I graduate, I have a yoga class tomorrow after work, so think better leaving it until Tuesday.

The yoga definitely helps doesn't it? I've come across a great yoga teacher, teaching gentle Hatha yoga, its very therapeutic.

Thank you Heti! Laura has been brilliant for me, and I've also swapped from listening to a book to music, I'm sure that's helped!
