[Hidden]

First thing I see on forum today and what do I see ? Those shoes look familiar. I think are just like mine, same colour, New Balance 860 v6 ??

I like mine very good fit my previous trainers were a bit loose but these are snug. I have slightly wider than average feet. These I found were not necessarily wider at the base but think had a bit more give in the uppers to give a snug fit for any foot.

Got mine at independent running shop and did a gait analysis on a treadmill (my first and only time on a treadmill). Was worried about falling off (seen so many videos of people sliding off). Like waiting at the dentist to try it out !!

Anyway found I had slight over pronation and they've served me well so far.

I even posted photo of them. I just hoped my friends never see me posting photos of footwear. I could imagine my friends saying "Oooh Errrr ! Joe's gone all weird never heard of him talking about shoes, never mind taking photos of them ! The big Wuss" !!

Did you try them beforehand? Not dissimilar to Hidden , I have found most New Balance models over the last couple of years to be very snug and perhaps a half size small.

Yes me too, Jacs but with recent NB models it is more like one and a half sizes.

Fit like a glove! Roomy enough for my wide feet, and comfy for my fallen arches. 3rd pair so far, and can't see me changing brand anytime soon 'cos these are lurvely to wear, and ever so light...xx

Parkrun will be great, really nice atmosphere and people, all very friendly. Not competitive as I had feared, everyone runs/walks at their own pace. I'm on no.3 after today. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with it.

I have also entered myself for a 10k in mid April. Might even don a pair of shorts!

10k Wowsers! You're racing ahead literally ! I ran 7.68 on Wednesday, and it felt great. Not worried about timings, just enjoying being able to run. It's really cool isn't it ...xx
