So, this morning was my first run with my new Shock Absorber bra. I am delighted to say that all shocks were indeed absorbed (even the price) - except for the shock of how hard it was to put on! I had to wake a sleeping teenage daughter to help me out with the last clip. She was delighted, as you can imagine...

The octopus is a lucky animal. I need more hands.

So funny :-) I can just imagine waking up teenage daughter :-)

Strangly I too have just bought a new high intensity shock absorber this very morning from John Lewis , ( r ducked to £20 from £40 ) , I know know to get ready 10 mins earlier to get the thing fastened :-) 👙

Lol. Sports bras are a nightmare. Once you put it on a few times it becomes second nature and shock absorbers are worth the money but there are times when you feel like you've done a workout just trying to get in to it. 🌻

My husband used to 'help'... nudge nudge, wink wink... :)

Go you... In the end I got one with no clips :) but, getting out of it after a run is hilarious :)

I discovered (at last) that by fastening the top clip first, then putting my arms in and hoiking it up (carefully!), i can manage it without feeling as though I'm about to dislocate my shoulders... :) But yeah, not the best bit of the run! ;)

I had to have a zip front shock absorber as at the time my arm movement and chest stretching was very limited (after mastectomy/reconstruction) but I love it. It keeps everything in place and is not as hard to get into as some of the complicated clippy ones.

It's a good job we don't parade our new foundation garments in the way that we like to show off our new shoes in the forum. Might raise a few eyebrows ;-)

Hahaha! There's a thought. :)

Ha ha..I've been almost in tears trying to fasten up (with frustration)...til I discovered doing it up back to front then swivelling it round..works a treat.

thats what I do too though a sharp intake of breath is required to get it past the bazookas on the way round.....

I tried that without success. I'll persevere and try again next time!

Sorry!! One last thing - have any of you seen the Facebook advert that keeps popping up on my history for Runderwear?? Not a single hint of camel toe. How do they do it?????

Are the shock absorber ones worth getting? They sound a bit of an effort?!! I've been happy with my M&S zip front ones up to now but wondering.. anyone compared the two?

AnneDroid profile image

I've only had it on once so far so it's too soon to tell!

I looked at the pics to see what the clip mentioned was and I think it would exhaust me trying to get the thing on what with the clip and the hooks behind my back! Would have to be seriously amazing I think to tempt me away from a front zip!!

Once it's on, it IS amazing. But just allow an extra 5 (at least!) mins to get into it! 😉

Oh I wish I could get a shock absorber but they dont reach my size (34JJ). Heading out for a new sports bra soon as Ive lost weight since buying my last one and it doesnt really help much anymore

I forked out for a decent running bra just before Christmas, I'm just really glad my husband didn't ask me how much it cost!

It handily doubles as somewhere to put my oversize phone😆

I also have a shock absorber and had a real trouble the first time I tried it on. Now I leave the top clip done up then simply pop it over my head then do up the back strap. Much easier!
