Hi all. i'm taking part in my first park run tomorrow. I'm really excited! However where do you all put you bits and Bobs. Where am I going to put my barcode. Just realised I have no pockets and I don't have a wrist wallet. I think i'm going to have to tuck it into my knickers!

All my running tights, capris or shorts have a pocket in the back, that I put my car key and barcode in. Everything else I leave in the car (out of sight). I have read on here that some keep things in their bra.

You'd be amazed what we manage to keep in our bra's!

It's usually safe to leave a bag at the start line, someone's always been about on the ones I've been to.

I've seen folk pin their barcodes to their t-shirts but you might need to put some sellotape over it or laminate first.

As it's your first run why not ask a friend to watch and hold your other stuff.

I too am doing my first one tomorrow!! Was wondering the same!

Thanks for all your ideas. My husband was going to come along and bring our two children to watch, so he was going to have all my stuff, but as it has forecast rain for tomorrow he didn't fancy standing around, chicken!! So just for tomorrow I will stuff a barcode in my bra and my knickers (just in case one gets lost). then I shall go out and buy a pair of bottoms with a pocket and also get one laminated and pin it to my shirt as I like that idea too!

Good luck to unfitmom for tomorrow. Let me know how your get on.

Hope you're all up and getting ready now! I'm marshalling again today - lost my running mojo at the moment but staying involved via this board and the parkrun. Remember you don't need to run with your barcode - you can leave it in a bag near the start/finish.

Good luck everyone and I hope it's not as wet as Winchester this morning!

You can leave it at the finish (or you can round here anyway) and they can store it for you next time. It means you don't have to remember to take it with you but you do have to fish around in their box to find it each week. If you're going to do this it's probably best if it's laminated or something to protect it.

Did you do it? I'm still awaiting my result on the website ... Really enjoyed it - hope you did too.

I laminated my barcode (just by covering it back and front with sellotape) and tucked it under the insole of my running shoe. Not sure how long it will last there though. I've also got one in the car and one in my purse

I have a 'bum bag' which I slot my i-phone in so I can listen to my podcast, and also put my laminated barcode in. My second park run today ( C25K-Week 1 run 3) and am waiting for the results to see if I improved my time.

I'm going to get my husband to laminate it for me on Monday.

Hi unfitmom, I did go this morning, felt a bit nervous, everyone looked experienced. I even turned to my husband and asked of we could go home! found out there were quite a few first timers there today too, so that made me feel a little better!

Time completed 31.41. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have out it on my calender for next week!
