56 never, ever run, all clear given from my GP/ Overweight, stroke and valve replacement in 2015, hypothyroidism. Guess what ? I am loving my new found freedom that comes with running, so much that I am having trouble limiting myself to 3 runs a week. If I can do it so can YOU

Amazing :-) I've heard week 3 is where C25K means serious business but sounds like you're gonna smash it, good luck

Oh I love the positivity and enthusiasm of your post. I can imagine you jumping up and down waving things 😃

Don't be tempted to ignore rest days but enjoy your new found freedom (which will increase week on week). Keep posting! :)

Well done you! What a great post...but, keep your running to three times a week and rest days are essential... the way to success is slow and steady and follow the programme :)

It is a great journey, and the idea is to reach Graduation, injury free and having had a fun time en route :)

Onward and upward!

Limit yourself! Steady that enthusiasm and take great care to stay within the limits of your new running legs. Go slow, progress steadily and you will be fine.

It's great fun but not if you hurt yourself. Slow but sure is the way to go.

You should feel better quite soon. Combine the exercise with healthy eating and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve. Good luck

thanks misswobble. I do intend to go slow and steady. Hard to contain my enthusiasm but I am determined to keep it up and build up slowly. Thanks for the support

Wk 3 run 1 for me today... I also didn't feel it was enough! Whoever would have thought that just two weeks ago! At the end of the second 3 minutes there was a man-in-a-van coming towards me and I just thought I didn't want to stop until he'd gone past...so I didn't. It was only 20 seconds or so extra but I'm practically hysterical about it!

well done, it's an amazing feeling isn't it? Two short weeks ago I was running at 5.30 am as I didn't want anyone to see me and now ! I just don't care who sees me. Such a short time but such a boost in confidence. Keep it up
