Well W5R3 wasn't as bad as I'd feared, and I managed to get just beyond 18 minutes before I just had to slow to a walk.
I did manage to find a rhythm for most of the run so am actually very happy with how it went, just need to re-do and find a little bit extra to push through those final minutes.
Thank you to everyone on here for your wise words of advice and encouragement.
Work commitments mean I might not get to try again before Friday now.

Well done on your achievement, just that last hurdle. This is when running moves from your legs to your head. I bet before the run you wouldn't have thought you could do 18 minutes never mind 20, its just a minor setback.
You have made it to 18 minutes which is longer than you have ever ran before in one go. All you have is a further 2 minutes that is all.
You can do this, get out there as soon as you can and nail that week 3!
Even if you could squeeze something shorter in, just to keep legs moving, a 15 minute run or something. I know its not sticking to the plan, but if you cant get a 40 minute c25k session in, something is better than nothing.
Sarah, well done ... you are still my hero! Oh to be able to run for that long, but I'm "keeping the faith". Heading off for my repeated W2R3 later today.
Thank you. It was tough, but actually not as bad as I thought once I got into the rhythm of it. You'll definitely get there, I have every faith in you.
