Well the thighs were still feeling a bit tender from Monday night's first venture and I found myself looking forward to tonight simply to get the run (HAHAHA) out of the way.
With woolly hat added to the attire and a new pair of joggiing pants, and a new set of Bluetooth earphones plugged in I ventured out into the sub zero .
So I survived the 5 minutes brisk walk - always a good start.. I did jog 1 and although still very slow I found it easier than on the first night. After the 2nd jog I told my Gremlin who shall be called Stan (after his great Uncle Satan) to Take That, and asked him how he felt. Clearly unimpressed that I was coping he proceeded to remind me that the wind was behind me and that when I turned round it would be in my face...
When Ms Millican told me I had only 2 jogs left I was sure she was wrong...But no...I had actually lost count and as I didn't believe her I actually did a 9th jog just in case.
Very pleased at how I managed each jog and how well I felt I recovered between walks. Stan is nudging me and gently reminding me that week 2 will be harder. I think I will do the 3rd run of week 1 on Sat or Sun...dare I venture out in daylight? I am looking forward to trying week 2 next week.
But first sleep...

Stan is an excellent name for your gremlin. I think you have this running lark sorted, great that you can brush him off. Enjoy your running and yes, go out in daylight, as one lovely lady said to me, "nobody is going to know how far you've run" and also I don't think that they are particularly interested. You get to see such wondrous sights if you go out running in the daytime or when dawn is breaking, that's my favourite of all times. Happy running to you! 👏🏻👏🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻😀😀
Well done for getting one over the Gremlin - and for naming your nemesis. I bet he wears a white vest with "Stan the Man" written on the back. Congratulations for getting run two done and dusted!
