πŸ˜œπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ first one done, oh my I am unfit! But I did it and covered 5.1k in all. I look like a sweaty, red tomato but I don't care, because I did it πŸ‘ŸπŸ‘ŸπŸ‘ŸπŸ‘Ÿ

Well done! You'll be amazed at how you get better over the weeks.. but 5.1 km! You may fitter than you think though, think you could afford to slow down just a tad and make it easier on yourself, it's not a race, a lot of newbies go off too fast and risk injury. Forget about distance just do the times in the programme, your pace need only be just above brisk walking pace..😊

I agree, I did start too fast but pulled myself back when my energy started to flag. I think I was a bit too overzealous to start with. I only looked at my phone when I got back to see how many steps I had done and was staggered that I had also covered the distance I did. I totally agree with you, distance is not important at all to me just succeeding the challenge.

Well done - as davelinks said though - take it easy on thinking about distance, it's not important at all at this stage

Wow, 5.1Km! Very impressive for a first time out. Make sure you get your rest day in tomorrow and see how the muscles feel... Well done.

That's an amazing distance for your first run! I agree with all above, maybe take it a little slower, slow and steady wins the race and keeps you injury free. Congratulations though, and welcome to our virtual family of Runners! 😊

Sweaty, red tomatoes are good :-D Well done, you've done the hardest part by starting. Keep us posted with your progress. Happy running :-)

Brilliant! I echo the other comments as that will help you successfully complete the programme. Best bit of advice I got was slow down and then go a little slower πŸ˜‚

I was over 50, never run before, ever, and can now run 10k comfortably, and most importantly have had no injuries.

All the best with your running!
