Week 3 completed - and being a marshal

Somebody stop me!

Friday morning, did W3R3 with my son. We both managed it but son was getting a bit of knee pain by the final 3 minute run.

Then Friday evening did a 21km cycle ride with my younger son.

And then, this afternoon, marshalled an aquathon / duathlon that my younger son was taking part in. *he's very proud of his participation medal *

Somehow did over 10,000 steps! I thought marshals just stood around offering support 😸

Now pooped! And looking forward to another 'rest' day 😸

Happy running everyone! πŸ‘ŸπŸ‘ŸπŸ‘Ÿ

Great stuff... wow, what a day on Friday, and a great thing to do on a Saturday afternoon. Hope that lad has hung his medal for all to see, there will be many more I’m sure with you inspiring your children. Enjoy a peaceful relaxing Sunday.

Go Katnap! Activity superstar! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I think running spurs us all on to do more. Exercise breeds exercise. Isn’t it fabulous? πŸ˜€

Sounds like your family is an active bunch! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ I don’t blame your son for being proud of his medal! πŸ₯‡ πŸ‘

Wow! What an inspirational Mummy!! You’re on the ball with lots of activities!

Well done on your sons medal too-proud Mummy moment! It’s great that you’re offering support too and spreading that positive vibe and support to others-it’s contagious!

Spoiler alert.

I'm a daddy not a mummy!

Mummy is already a C25K graduate and she is also very happy as she (after 4 months) finally went sub 30 minutes on a 5k Parkrun

But you're right about one thing. It is mummy who inspired and started us on this running malarkey πŸ˜ΈπŸ‘ŸπŸ‘ŸπŸ‘Ÿ

Aw shucks 😊 but elder son wouldn’t have done C25k without you doing it, and he told me that he’s enjoying it and it’s working! Result πŸ˜€

Very active family then! My husband has started to say how he wants to do C25K too!

Thank you 😸

That’s amazing Katnap... you’re Super Mum! What an active weekend, the kids must’ve loved it. I’m going to get my eldest involved in the running - he seems really interested πŸ‘

Well done all but watch your son's knees. My son did C25k with me then had to stop due to knee pain. Apparently it's common in growing boys when the bones around the joint grow quicker than the muscles can cope with. He's OK now after resting from running but still doing other exercise (but still won't run with me any more. I think he's actually afraid he won't be able to keep up!!)

Thanks Langley-Loper.

That's useful to know.

We did W4R1 tonight. We went more slowly and kept chatting so he made it through and I think he was in a better place than me. πŸ˜ΈπŸ‘ŸπŸ‘ŸπŸ‘ŸπŸ‘ŸπŸ˜Έ
