Ok...have been very lazy. I don’t cope with heat at all and even at 6.20am on my last run, it was too much! Seems better today, so determined to go tomorrow. Was thinking of doing the 20 minute run to ease back in...what do you lovely people think? Happy Wednesday #itscominghome
Haven’t been out for a fortnight!: Ok...have... - Couch to 5K
Haven’t been out for a fortnight!
Go out.. choose a route you enjoy..listen to your body and see how it goes
Oldfloss has you covered. Go out and run. Stop when it’s enough. Enjoy it.
Don’t know which week you were up to, but go for the next run 👌🏽
I've been doing just 20minutes..I started to really struggle a few weeks ago..I managed one 28 minute run..and then just lost it..so I've eased my way back in and have done 20 minutes for the last 3 runs..I decided that I needed to just keep up the good habits I've formed..running 3 times a week..but with the heat I just couldn't cope with any more...but I haven't given up..I'm going to start increasing slowly. I downloaded a different app recently and noticed that it builds up in much smaller increments as you start running for longer..rather than jumping from 20 to 25..so next week I'm going to do 22 mins then 25 and upwards..think it will work for me..🐴🐌🐌🐌
I too don't cope with the heat, so have been doing 20 mins when it's too warm, then 30 when it feels a bit cooler. That way I can keep running without harming my self manually and physically. When it gets cooler I shall be back to 30 mins each time.
I did a 20 min run in the hottest weather. I enjoyed it! Short and sweet. I really don't like the heat and any run is better than no run??
Hi 18Windmill, I think you are a full time English teacher, so there is no way that you are lazy!! Making something a habit can take a while. Do you want to run? If the answer is yes, then do it! No discussion, just run. If you go before you have properly woken up, like I do, you may not even manage to talk yourself out of it. Of course you would probably need to asleep now! I'm up assisting my husband with plumbing. Go Windmill go!!🤸♀️Cart wheel was the nearest I could find to a windmill!!!! Looking forward to hearing about it!
