So after missing out on W4R1 on Monday by less than a minute, I tried it again today. I slowed down some more and managed to get through so am VERY happy. Not easy, but I did it
davidhwynn Thank you for your message earlier. I glanced down and saw the email notification when I was half-way through the final run. Perfect timing.
I'm planning to do W4R2 on Friday, then next week might be a bit sporadic and we're away for a few days over New Year. I'm definitely planning to keep up the running over the holiday, but I may repeat, and consolidate, the W4 runs and then start W5 once we're back into the normal routine after Christmas and New Year. All my running so far has been on the treadmill, so I do plan to try an outside run over the holiday.

Well done for getting through it. Think everyone's routine is disrupted. Difficult planning runs in between the mince pies and relative visiting duties. Not too bad for me. more and more people seem to be having less holiday over xmas squeezing into shorter timeframes.
Good your planning to run outside, let us all know how you get on.
Well done - you did better than I did today with W4R2! It was definitely a case of W2R2 -1 / David 0. Just like you the first time round I couldn't finish that second 5 minute run. I've also decided that I'm going to carry on doing some running of some sort over the holiday period and then regroup but I think I will have to restart with W4 as soon as I can in the New Year. Still determined, but a bit fed up with myself today. Happy holidays!
Fantastic Sarah, you nailed it! Nothing wrong with repeating anything (ask me how I know) You've cracked the slowing down bit. That really is the secret. Slowly does it. Enjoy running outside over the hols and have a fab Christmas
I would definitely recommend some outdoor running - not sure I would have got as far as week 7 without it!!! Even in the dark, it still adds variety, and you can sat to yourself...just to the next lamp post/car/corner etc!!
