Did you not want to give it a go? This is my next run and I'm just going to give it a try and see what happens!!

I admire you for that! My ego would not let me take it slow and steady when it came to the 'timetable' too much. I know there were one or two stages I really could have done with repeating, but the lure of graduation was strong :)

I think I would have been much better off if I had been willing to do what you are doing - taking it at the pace that is sensible for me and the result would probably have been a more comfortable 5K when I did eventually start making that distance :)

had to decide which to listen to my ego or my legs and lungs, my legs and lungs won!!!

Think you have to go with whatever you are happy with ! Everyone is different. Some would say give it a go and if can't quite make the 25 minutes put it down as a practice run. You may surprise yourself and do it but on here they never use to "F" word to describe a run if it doesn't go to plan. If need be repeat a week and prepare to try again next time.

But there is nothing wrong with your plan to repeat and build up to try again. After all what's the rush. Or as they say "Where's the fire" !
