I mean literally! I have just done it and it was, to be honest, not anything like as tough as I had imagined. If I had known I could do this I would have been running years ago. (Does that make sense?)
Much helped by a lovely crisp bright morning with no wind, and the two cheery old geezers setting out markers in Wormwood Scrubs for, I guess, a Parkrun, who smiled and said "well done" as I waddled past.
Onwoard and upward and once again, anyone reading this, remember I tried the programme last winter and got very discouraged so it is always worth having another go.
That's lovely news, well done!! You're so right - a lot of the challenge is in our heads and I think we all wish we'd have started sooner. You're doing it now though and that's what matters!
I didn't take the dog with me as I didn't want to break my stride picking up poo. I took him out later and it turned out there was a huge running event going on. So glad I didn't get mixed up in it!
Well done. you.. these winters can be a tad chilly!
Well done ! Agree with you and others it makes sense wishing had done sooner, me too . At least you were determined and doing it now and feeling the benefit.
We put up with going out in all weathers but once out it's OK and when SUN shining and no wind it helps.
Thank you. I am really enjoying and likely to finish the programme at New Year. So watch out for me as a January graduate...
