I’ve done it! Week 5 Run 3!!! I was dreading it, considered delaying when I saw the frost this morning, but was inspired by your amazingly supportive comments to newbies facing this challenge. And sure enough, like many before me, I am still grinning from ear to ear six hours later.
This is my first posting. I was never confident I’d make it this far (or even beyond the first day, TBH), but came across you lovely people when I needed it the most. So in the spirit of giving back, I signed up to the forum so that I can say to anyone in need of a confidence boost right now, those famous words – ‘if I can do it anyone can!’
I’ve always fancied running. In the past I’ve been a (not very enthusiastic) gym member and tried running on the dreadmill (ended up with shin pain and backache). BUT, here’s the thing: I am the most idle 62 year old lady imaginable and have no idea why I chose to follow this programme rather than stay on the couch (which I love very much). I came across it whilst idly surfing the net, thought ‘That looks do-able’, put on my trainers and went for it. That was a month ago, and after the first 60 second run I thought I was going to die. However, thanks to my best friend Laura (and the rest of you) I’ve got this far and fully intend to complete the full 9 weeks!

Congratulations on taking the challenge, and you are definitely in the right place for support. Keep up following the program and before you know it you will be at week 9 and graduating. Well done for getting this far and enjoy the rest of C25K. 😊
W5r3 is the one that changes everything. Whatever you're faced with, you now know you can push that little bit further into the unknown and you now know you can get there. The rest of the programme isn't easy, but ip you will find yourself more and more confident of success.
So glad you posted your achievement, fantastic, well done! I'm still grinning a year after starting so hopefully those happy feelings will stay with you too! x
Well done on taking up this magnificent challenge , this is one of the most amazing things Ive ever done, thats coming from someone who was a proper couch spud , watching TV whilst puffing away on 20 -25 fags a day
You can do this , You are doing it !
I wish you all the very best, Keep going , youre doing great ! xxx
