OMG, Just completed W5R3 . It was brilliant and tough at the same time. It was so nice hearing Laura’s voice telling you that have done 5, 10, 15, 18 and you have done it. Was dreading this run as there was no walking in between anymore. At the first 5min I thought “Whow this was quick “. At 10min I was so pleased with myself as this was the longest running time for me. Anything extra after that is just a bonus. The last 2 min were the toughest for me. So pleased to have done it and am looking forward doing the next run in a few days time

20 minutes non stop is an amazing achievement you should be so proud. Well done you 😊

Hi Buddy34, just back from my 7th parkrun, waiting for my official result, however, I asked the runner I was pacing and just a fraction behind her, she congratulated me on my run, told me she is running a 10K in Inverness tomorrow, good luck to her, her time today according to her Smartphone was 32.39, so I am probably around 32.40 something, I'll let you know my official time as soon as I get it.

Update,

Hi Buddy34, I think they may be having a problem with the results from Dunfermline today, still waiting for my official result, I looked at the Dunfermline Parkrun Home page and all that's there is the volunteers for today. , where the names, times are is just blank, I'll let you know when my result comes through.

Great AlMorr. Was looking for you posting today. Did the rain stay off for you 😊

Yes the ☔ rain stayed off, only saw light rain when I got back to Cumbernauld, still waiting for my official result, I will let you know when I get it.

Maybe try Dunfermline parkrun one day to see how different it is to Drumpellier 😊

It's hillier, but if there has been a lot of rain, whereas Drumpelliier would be a quagmire with mud and continuous puddles, Dunfermline is tarmac, the water seeps away and there are not too many puddles.

2.20pm and still no email result and the Dunfermline result page is blank, if I had ran at Drumpelliier I would have got my result ages ago as I notice that all the results are there for today.

UPDATE Buddy34, my OFFICIAL EMAIL and result came through to me just before 3 o'clock,

it is:-time 32.31, position-133 out of 180 runners, Age Grade 56.43% and my pace was 6.30km.

If I want to get a sub 30 minute 5k it won't be at Dunfermline, perhaps either with my metromone app at about 178/180 steps a minute round Broadwood Loch Cumbernauld or perhaps at Drumpelliier, who knows, nevertheless I enjoyed my run this morning.

Fantastic, it’s great to get onto these longer runs rather than the start stop ones. Happy running

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5 Silkey, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

Well done. It’s a good one to get done and certainly shows how you’ve progressed. Enjoy week 6 and take it easy on those shorter runs as they’re not easy!

What are the shorter runs for in week 6? Is it build up speed or other reasons?

Not what you're looking for?
