Excellent stuff sarahspain :)

Well done on completing w5r3, but please make sure you don't fall into the same trap as I nearly did on week 6. (Maybe go and read my post from then). Just take it nice and steady... don't go too fast, which is a temptation now you know you can do 20 minutes non-stop.

Err by the way...was that you "can't" say you enjoyed it, or "can" say you enjoyed it? I know it shouldn't be "cat" as that doesn't make any sense, unless the world has suddenly changed on me!! lol (You can edit your post - Use the little down arrow next to the Like button).

Well done sarahspain :) I can't say I'm enjoying running yet. I'm waiting for it to start feeling easier....if it ever does!

It does loisamelia :) But that's the whole point...you need to keep pushing yourself through those tough extra bits in order to improve and build up your stamina and endurance. :)

I've been through the plan and very recently graduated and I can tell you that every week I got through it (but only just!) then the following week I found it tough but managed to push on that little bit more. Each week you find you can go a little further than before and so on and so on. So keep at it, and in a few months time you will also find that you've improved so much, that you will be able to run for half an hour without stopping to walk, and like me you will be amazed at it! All the best. :)

I can do the running for 30 minutes Lee337 , I've only got one more run to go before I get my badge too. I wouldn't say I'm loving it though but maybe I will in time and maybe I'll even get to 5k as well. Am at about 4.3k now :)

Oh, ok. Sorry, I thought you had just started out as well. lol

Well, I must say loisamelia you must be quite fit already if you're covering 4.3km in your 30 minutes, and you're not yet a graduate of the C25K plan. That's amazing! Well done. By the time I graduated (last Saturday, Nov 26th) I only covered 3.81km, and that was a PB, so you're doing fantastic. Keep it up! :) I must also confess, that even though I've now graduated, I still can't say I love running at the moment. But I'm sure if I stick at it, and find it easier and easier with each week that passes, then I will eventually get to that point. That's what I hope for anyway. ;)

That's what I'm hoping too ;) I think I start out OK but probably too fast tbh so I really slow up in the second half when my legs turn to lead!

Well done!! :)

I achieved this last week - it's a good feeling to have completed it though, however hard it is! :)

I graduated Nov 12th doing my 3rd park run today. I still don't enjoy my slow jog. However I feel enjoyment might come when I look around at all the smiling faces at the start. Most on the way back have pained expressions as they try to get a better time!!! Runners are generally a very happy positive bunch of people and maybe that's why I keep coming back. If you need company find a group or there's ' find people near me ' on here. Keep at it you're doing great. 😊

Well done for running 20 minutes. I probably felt similar to you a little while back. I didn't really enjoy the running and certainly didn't consider myself a runner. Now I'm in a much better place. I recently graduated and moved on to Bridge to 10K. Some days are easier and more fun than others but I am now running three times a week and that is so much more than I did this time last year. So, stick with it. It is definitely worth it :-)

Well done! It's a big mental hurdle, that run, and you did it! I found that the programme got more enjoyable at Week 7 once the intervals stopped and I was running for longer. Perhaps that might make a difference so stick with it - you might have a moment where everything clicks into place and you suddenly realise that you love running (I hope so)!

Not what you're looking for?
