I feel like I've been on the brink of this for quite a while having yoyo-ed between week 7 and 8 due to illness. I have a bit of trepidation but it's only 2 more minutes right!
The only thing is I don't really feel I'm progressing much in terms of distance.I've started running a different route, not the usual circular one I started out doing because as I run so early the circular route is very dark and lonely and I got scared! So now I run as far as I can to halfway then turn round and head back. I don't seem to be running any further though and I thought I might, especially as I've lost count of how many week 8 runs I've done now! Maybe there is a peak you reach and that's fine. I guess it's more being able to run for the time rather than the distance.

I think there are times when your body consolidates where it's at and you don't really feel as though you are improving, but then something happens and after a week or two you seem to go faster. I don't understand the physiology of it, but I really would not worry about the fact that you are not running any further. The important thing to remember is that you are running. Good luck with week 9, you're doing just fine! 😊👏🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻
Thank you! Well I did eventually get out this afternoon before it got dark. I have to say it was quite a slog (why are some days harder than others?). I've no idea how far I went in the 30 min run, maybe 4K? I stopped worrying about speed around week 2 run 6 when I realised I would give up there and then if speed was to be my aim. 90 seconds seemed so hard! So now we are running for 30 minutes
You're doing great! Distance will come as you build up your strength and stamina but you are going in the right direction Good luck with your final runs.
