4am run w7 r3 new togs and an extended distance.

Hi everyone,

Well thats W7 finished with a large smile.

I found the site mapmyrun and extended my distance to 2.7 miles, its great as i'm now able to run the whole route under street lighting. I also tried out skin tight compression running shirt and leggings. They are great but my wife thought I looked like a frogman. looking forward to Thursday and W8.

I hope that you have all had a good day.

Well done. I still get a great sense of achievement and still smile after every run. Perhaps it was good to find a well lit route. But perhaps your wife would prefer her neighbours not to know her husband is the strange frogman dashing about the neighbourhood !

Hey but if it works I might get some. I regularly near lakes and canals. I use something called Walkjogrun and useful for adding bit of variety for routes.

Running a good habit now only wish had started years ago.

Just had a look at WalkRunjog app blurb and it looks good - do you find it useful for planning new runs or am I just looking for another new toy?? 😜

in reply to

I love new toys. I'm such a low tech person anything other than a compass and O/S map is high tech to me. I'm jealous of those with fancy gizmo watches that do everything but the washinp up !

The walkjog run was suggested to me by someone on this site and is sufficient for me. It plots routes over 5 to 6 K to near enough within say 100 to 200 metres. Secretly those with fancy gizmo watches probably think Walkjogrun is for "Flat Earthers" !! (only joking). As I say I'm just jealous !

Well it looks as though we are running together. I too finished week 7 today, although having not run for 3 days I found tonight's fun a bit of a struggle. Looking forward to Thursday, which will be W8R1 for me also.

Good luck.

Hi we are running together, it looks like it will be a cloudless sky tonight around here so there will be a chilly one tomorrow @ 4am.

Good luck with your W8R1 I'm sure you will have no problems.
