So yesterday evening came around, at last. I got in from work tired, and with feet sore from walking across town in boots that *really* hurt (it's not the size or fitting, but something to do with the sole inside which feels as though it causes blisters on the soles of my feet!). No-one had done anything about food for the family, so I set the girls going on that and headed out for my run.
Oh, the joy of putting on shoes with cushioned soles - never before have I appreciated it quite so much! And adorned with my day-glo yellow top, new running light, green LED armband, and LED trainer laces, I did feel that perhaps this much lighting was overkill - but better safe than sorry! Just wait til the Christmas lights go up around the village; I'll blend in nicely with them!
Running-wise, on the whole it was all good - not about to set the world ablaze, but I did what I was aiming to do and felt so much better for it. My knee is doing fine, so I'll move on to run 2 (week 5) next time and see how we go with that...

I have the same blistery feet when I wear 'normal' shoes so I feel your pain on that one. Fortunately I work in IT so I can wear trainers pretty much all the time so havent had problems in quite a while.
On my run today I passed two houses with their christmas decorations out. I mean I love christmas but I try to keep it contained until December
Gah, in my usual style, all going so well, feeling positive and motivated - and can't run tonight. Had parents' evening for Daughter #1, so got home at 8pm with tea from the chippy! Tomorrow, tomorrow, there's always tomorrow...!
