Do I continue with Week 1 or move on?

Hi!

On Monday I started week one, I did the first two runs up to the 25 minute mark, so 10 minutes of cool down/warm up and the rest the intervals. However on Friday I did the whole thing and felt a lot better with my breathing and pace.

Should I do another week 1 or move on to week 2?

Sorry, have you done two or three runs? Each week comprises three runs so always best to stick with the program - it's good you felt so comfortable but the gradual step ups are designed for a reason and will minimise any chances of injury, especially later on. Good luck!☺

I did 3 runs, Monday and Wednesday I only managed to do 25 minutes but on Fridays run so my third one I did it all. That's why I'm not sure what to do

As its week 1, I would say move on - as the programme progresses it does become more important to complete them all as per podcast. Best of luck with Week 2☺

Well done! But you've done the 3 runs a per the programme yes? then move on. You should carefully stick to the programme proper, and not how you think it should be done, it's been designed but experts to build you up gradually throughout thus avoiding injury..😊

I am a newbie here, but have read we should be doing the programme in full three times before moving on. I read it that you have been out three times, and done the full programme on the third day, so you need two more before you move on.

Well done, I did day one today (most of it) and loved it even though it was so hard! I did 8 runs, but didn't get quite to the end of the last four, think I can push myself to do the whole thing next time.

good luck x

I'm not sure if I've got this right but I think you're saying that the first 2 runs you did 5 minutes warm-up walk, 15 minutes run and walk intervals but didn't feel able to carry on to make that up to 20 minutes, then finished with 5 minutes cool down walk. These obviously set you up well for your next run because you managed 5 minutes walk, 20 minutes run/walk and then 5 minutes walk. Sounds like you did a good job there but didn't quite complete the week 1 sessions the first couple of times. Now you have done a full week 1 run, with your 3rd session I think you would be best making sure you have done 3 full sessions, so 2 more to go. That way you'll set yourself up well to tackle week 2. The programme is designed on the basis that you complete one week before moving on to the next - part or nearly completed sessions are useful training but don't count in terms of readiness to move on. NB It's quite possible i don't know what I am talking about :-D
