No snow, but it's pretty wet, and cold. However it was important for me to get out there today.... as much as anything because of yesterday.
You see, I went out yesterday to try and do this run, and ground to a halt after about 8 minutes, and felt rather rotten about it. There were a number of reasons why - I was running a bit too soon after eating a bit too much and felt like being sick at points, possibly a bit dehydrated, a slight cold in the nose, and when I looked at the tracking after I set off about a minute per km faster than I normally would - possibly over-confidence having thought "well, I've already done this so it's fairly easy". Big mistake - yes a lot of the programme at this point is mental, but that doesn't mean you can ignore the physical.
So, delaying lunch today (and making sure there was a nice hot drink ready for when I got home) it was on with the motley and out into what started off as light rain, but then got heavier.... kept the pace more moderate though, didn't push too hard, and completed the full 25 minutes. I know some of you talk about your gremlin - well, today, mine took a beating. Though I will admit, I'm seriously considering a treadmill!

Well done. The weather is a bit of a challenge ! I was going to say the next line was I think "Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow".
Luckily here I had no snow but delayed run to let rain move on.
Just realised that I've acquired a rather bizarre tag on my post..... Someone at Health Unlocked hasn't made allowance for the fact that with the weather, "Snow" is being used to refer to frozen precipitation and not necessarily a white, powdery substance that some snort!
I was thinking "it's raining again" by Supertramp, but got out for my run after it stopped ๐ Also have on my mind "'Twas early morning yesterday, I was up before the dawn" another Supertramp favourite of mine. Mind you it was Saturday when I did that, but I'm still smiling at the thought! ๐
Well done Albert, you did everything right. You took the time to work out why yesterday's run went wrong and then took steps to avoid those problems. Fantastic!
