I have not run for what must be 3-4 weeks now because of hip pain so went to Dr and had x-ray. Results show arthritis in hip joint but the main cause of the pain is trochanteric bursitis she has suggested I do not run until pain settles down and has even suggested taking up some other sport... I am gutted. First time I have found a sport that's free, I actually enjoyed and felt a great sense of achievement and it may be in jeopardy. I am still walking daily and trying to keep my speed up so I don't lose all my fitness and I will probably have to restart the C25K again when things have settled down. I will give it another go because I don't want to stop all together but I am also going to do the dry January (we are rather partial to wine) so hopefully that will help with the weightloss too which should help the hip.. no point in starting this side of Christmas is there :D.
