Back to the canal towpath

So I did my first run in 9 days - that's the longest gap since I started c25k in July. Largely due, as I've posted elsewhere, to helping my daughter pass her driving test and to a short break in Prague. I have a cough which wasn't helped by the large number of smokers out there - every time we sat down at a pavement cafe we ended up surrounded by them! Today it was the first time that I've kept my long sleeved fleece on the whole time. It was just before the sun came out (while I was showering😣). I did the 'speed' 5k+ podcast which I realised while doing it, is quite short. Anyway, due to the cough and the 9 day gap I had to walk for 2 minutes in the middle. So not great, but still good to get out and I'll get out again at the weekend. Oh, and I got a very reasonably priced snazzy pair of running leggings in C&A in Prague!

  • Well done for getting back on the towpath :) C&A still exist? Who knew!

  • Yes, I saw them in France this summer as well. Not a shop I would normally go in, but I remember when they were in the UK years ago, they had a reputation for good, inexpensive ski wear. So I wondered if they do fitness gear as well. Turns out they do!

  • What's a couple of minutes walking when you're having fun! It's good to be out there again.

  • Thanks, it sure is.

  • Very well done..and a quick walk, just to catch your breath, after the smokers.. that is fine.. Err where is the photo of the leggings? :)

  • Might fish them out to take a photo. Seems a bit strange though.

    Best wishes for new grandchild
