I have just completed week5 r3 and Iam feeling fantastic! So pleased with myself πŸ˜€ Was just wondering though why there is such a massive jump from r2, where you only run for 8 mins? Does anyone have any idea why?

Oh and also am I the only one that uses the app, not the podcast? I feel a bit left out as I don't have 'Laura' speaking to me!

Well done - that's a real milestone!

Actually, as week 5 R2 is two lots of 8 mins running, it's maybe not such a huge jump - and you were clearly ready for it.

It's more puzzling to me why the first 2 runs of week 6 return to intervals, but the programme is written by people who know what they are doing - it works, so just trust it and go with the flow!

I wondered that too Ully. Yet somehow it worked.

Same comments as Ullyrunner , you are ready for it.. some aspects of the C25K seem odd, but, as Ully says, Week 6 is a real oddity and can throw some folk,,, but it is a structured programme that works :) Well done...

Shame you don't have Laura, she is fab and would explain all you need to know as you go through the weeks

It is not the mountain to climb you think it is. Have faith 😊

I have the app (not podcast), and have Michael who does speak (although a little dry on occasions!). No music on app but I'm happy with that as I run through a nature reserve and like the peace and quiet and just hearing nature around me - it's my 'me' time.

I've done W7R1 but have had a week out due to heavy cold :-( Missing the running and also afraid I will lose a bit of fitness - will see how I feel when I next go out

I missed a week between 8 & 9 .. my 1st run of week 9 felt great .. the break can sometimes do a lot of good !

Great, a fellow app user, was beginning to think I was the only one!! I run with Jo Whiley, and like you I prefer no music, as I like the peace and concentration it gives me I must admit. If I did want music, I would prefer to choose my own!! Hahaha 😜

It does feel like a scarily big jump. Actually the stopping and starting of interval running is harder in my opinion than running continuously but first you need to build up puff and stamina in order to do it. I think that is what w1-5 are about and then by week 5 you are ready to run through. It is a very quick progression though, isn't it? - Only 5 weeks to get you running continuously for 20 min.
