Isn't it just great to be alive sometimes?

I'm not known for possessing the sunniest of dispositions generally (understatement of the century) but my run this morning just made me feel so happy. The sun was shining, the temperature was perfect, my son had promised me a bacon butty and a bucket of tea on my return, and the world felt like a very nice place to be. I'm back to running, my previous injury seems to have finally done one, and my second W2R2 run was extremely enjoyable.

I'm ready for W3 next time, but still glad I went all the way back to the beginning again. If I'd started out with too much too soon and aggravated the injury I would have cursed myself! For once, I'm being sensible (also something I'm not well known for).

Happy Sunday y'all.

Hello there Useit! Yes I agree with you! It was lovely out this morning, and as I jogged along very happily to my fave tunes, and smiled at all the other folks on the trail, I felt glad to be alive too. Life-affirming stuff. Home to freshly-brewed skinny latte. Slurp No bacon butty for me though, sadly. I hope yours hit the spot!

Good luck with your continued recovery!

Hi Loooooseit :)

It was certainly a lovely morning, though at half eight or so, there was still a chill in the air as Iran the first km or so of my week6 d3 run!

But yes the sun was out, blue sky and quite afew other joggers out there as well as walkers, mostly with their canine friends.

Off to the inlaws for a birthday celebration this afternoon

Sounds perfect. I'd love to come home to a hot beverage and snack - maybe I better put my request in.

Redoing the program is so great. Laura is wonderful and I find since I've done the runs before it feels sort of relaxing. Not that it's not without difficulty, but that it's a nice guided adventure.

Agreed. It's very comforting. When I was walking home after my run my mp3 player started to play Week 3, which starts off with a song "it's a beautiful day" - I got quite warm and fuzzy, with it being such a beautiful day and being so happy to be able to run again after my three months off on the IC. Sometimes the smallest things can just make a day so much better.
