My w8r3 was my first Parkrun

I see that lots of others have done Parkrun today. I decided to give it a go even though I felt I wasn't quite ready. Reasons to do it were a) I didn't have my usual Saturday morning commitment today and b) the weather was nice! When better? So I went off alone, bravely I thought. Really enjoyed it! I did walk for 3 short sections but the first time I walked was after 2.5k. Time was 39m34s so I was quite pleased at what this 57 year old body can do! Roll on week 9 and graduation!

There you go! Well done! Parkrun's good isn't it. I did it this morning with my nephew, he's 19 years younger than me and faster, so I let him go!😁 He got another PB..

The weather was excellent!😊

Yes dave, really enjoyed it. My daughter was going to come along but didn't, she's also much faster - though I've never run with her before - never run with anyone come to that: I've been doing c25k alone

well done, especially before starting week 9. I almost did that but bottled out and waited until I had finished. It was effectively week10 for my first Park Run

Well done! There's a Parkrun near to me and my husband and I ran the course route on Friday. It was my week 7 run so I stopped after 25 minutes, only having run 3.1k. Hubby is a bit ahead of me and managed the whole 5k in a respectable 36 min. I would love to have a go at Parkrun if I ever get my pace and stamina up a bit, but it's my goal after graduation.

You'll easily do it if you're up to 3.1k already, Von
