Hi All,

I am a newbie to this forum, I am currently doing C25K and completed week 8 run 3 today! I have enjoyed doing this program and have been lucky with not having too many problems, just have 1 thing I wanted to check and see what I can do to prevent.. my last 2 runs I have got a stitch in my right side after about 10 mins and I cant get rid of it, i have managed to push through it both times but it hasn't made for an enjoyable run, i have tried slowing down, breathing deep and pushing my belly out as Laura advises, any ideas what I can do and why I may have started getting one, not had one on any of my previous runs... thanks

I am having lots of issues with a stitch too but the problem does seem to be getting slightly better with each run - they become less painful and have started disappearing towards the end of my runs. Hopefully as you continue to progress they'll start improving for you too - it is so frustrating though so I share your pain!

I definitely find I get a stitch of I’m not properly hydrated before I start running. Have you tried drinking some water before you start?

Yes I do, just strange how it's only been my last 2 runs, I haven't changed anything I do beforehand, my husband thinks it may be a pulled muscle because I can feel it even when rested. See how I get on on the next run. X thanks for the replies 👍

I always get stitch if I dont drink much water the day before a run and.... if I drink too much wine the night before!! 🥴
