Week 7 Run 3 - Goodbye to all that

Finished week 7, oh thank goodness. Not the easiest 25 minutes (probably W7R1), but not the worst (W7R2). The graphs show my pace bouncing up and down all over the place - I'm definitely getting distracted by having to pass other runners/walkers, and then in turn trying to tag along with people passing me a little faster than I'm capable. This run's major hazards were two very sweet children intent on rushing my ankles no matter where I dodged, and a gentleman walking backwards on all fours. People are wonderful.

On the upside, I remembered to hydrate properly in the hour or two before my run, and my favourite playlist didn't self-delete.

Still not sure how I'll cope with the 28 minute runs of Week 8 - those extra three minutes feel impossible right now. Of course, one thing this programme has taught me is to trust C25K and try!

In the route picture attached, I've been starting in the park main entrance, bottom right corner. A ten minute segment gives almost exactly a full circuit, so 25 minutes is two loops, then a 4 minute segment up to the top of the loop (ends at the blue number 4). I have set the run's last minute as two 30 second segments - which are the blue 4-5, then 5-6 line - to try a sprint finish. Never had the energy yet to up my pace noticeably, but I'll make it some day!

Just concentrate on doing the time, I wouldn't worry too much about sprint finishes.

You manage week8 just fine. What's another 3 minutes to someone who can run for 25?

Well done!

Yes, I'm sure that's good advice. One foot in front of the other, no rushing to "finish faster".

Well done and you are right, trust in the programme and you will run that 28 minutes - just take it slow and steady 😀

Thats a cool wee map! I think there is a few of us not sure about adding on 3 minutes to the 25! But the plan has worked so far so I am sure it will be fine!
