After my fail a few days ago on the run I was doing for Poppypugs quest, I decided to have another go this morning, and cracked it! BB dropped me off outside of the village of Virac this time, all I had to do was turn around and run back in the direction I had come! Still room for error with me though! it was pretty warm up there, and not all downhill like Garmin had promised, and 8K not 7, never mind, I did the run and got 3 PBs, for 6, 7, and 8 KMs. The pics are a bit small sorry, but show how far wrong I went last time (I started in the same place lol)...

Here's the Garmin link for today's run if anyone's interested connect.garmin.com/modern/a...

Well done! Is it as hot as it was over there? Maybe you need a compass next time!

It has cooled down a bit, high 20s now not 30s. I don't know how to use a compass...

I know a guy who could. Joe is his name. He was in the Forces in Vietnam. They assumed one afternoon when taking heavy fire that because he knew how to use a compass he understood coordinates. The Sergeant shoved a map at him and pushed him over to the Radio Operator 'Call in Covering Fire ( Artillery) fer gawd's sake!" he screamed.

Well - poor guy was 18, only in-country a week, terrified and confused...so did his best.

The shells landed forty yards from their little redoubt instead of two hundred. The Sargeant started screaming at him again 'What the F---!!! Are you TRYING to kill US???!!! "

'Screw you asshat! I don't know what these f---ing numbers mean!' was the equally screamed response from a new thoroughly petrified Private.

They all survived, but he Sargent was forever known for the rest of his career as 'Sergent Asshat ' and the grunt - well, he was affectionately known as 'Suicide Joe' - and not because of the shelling that he called in on himself... :)

Just another bedtime story from your Uncle John. LOL :)

Good for you CG! I knew you'd try it again because you're a C25K'er and made of iron and steel 😊 Well done on the PB's and that's a great pace too. Whoop whoop!
