Well, I mapped it out a route on 'map my run' last night, and worked it out to be 5k without the warm up/down stretches, and I ran it! It was so cold setting off, about 7 degrees, but no jumper for me thank you very much
It took me 39 minutes by my little casio stopwatch. Only did an extra loop onto my normal run.
Thank you Laura, I never would have thought it possible. Thank you, lovely people for running alongside
I think that is do-able for me, and if I keep it up, may get the time down. Is that what some people do?
Oh I am really impressed. I managed my first 5k run just over a week ago and it took me 43 minutes π I haven't completed two runs of the same length since because of holiday runs and a lack of time but I am hoping that each time I complete the route I will get a little quicker. I only ran for 32 minutes yesterday but was much quicker. π
Hey, a lot of it was downhill. I know I should have as many uphills as downhills, but it did seem to be a lot down! It's good you were able to have some holiday, and sometimes our routines get disrupted. A good 30 min run is great, if I can do that regularly I'll be happy
Life and work has to carry on I guess unless we win the lottery! I'm planning to run for 30 minutes twice a week on workdays and then get as far as I can on the weekend. It will be easier if I can get the new pooch fully trained up to run with me π
Well done hoochy.. it's amazing reaching your first 5k.. I'm sure you will enjoy many more..well say enjoy. Each of mine are bloody tough..but the feeling of achievement after is something else
Yea little by little if you keep running regularly your speed will naturally increase.. I seem to be a few seconds or mins faster by the week.. So enjoy.. x
