Hi all. I am running wk 8 in Cornwall this week, just south of Padstow near Treyarnon bay. I've brought Laura, Julie and my running gear with me. Loads of hills, but as per my earlier post luckily am now embracing them (lol). I think the views as I run are taking my mind off the time running which is brilliant. I've added a photo so you can see what I mean.
I really feel as though I am beginning to enjoy these longer runs. Can't believe wk 9 is nearly here!
Just got to keep going which is always my nemesis! I'm still not really sharing with friends that I am running, in case I do my usual and loose motivation. Any advice on 'sticking with it' would be welcomed please.

Well done for running on holiday - that shows stickability!! And it looks beautiful there. I didn't tell my friends and family until about W5 because I was worried they would laugh to raise their eyes to the ceiling 😂 I was amazed that when I did start sharing everyone without exception thought it was brilliant and that was a great motivator in itself.....For me it's about setting goals - graduation was a big one , then my charity runs and then I think post that I'm going to focus on improving my plodding speed!!
You have come so far at this point that you know you have to keep going now and as you say you are enjoying it so what's not to like and do?
I'm waiting to see that Graduation badge next to your name so keep running 🏃😀 and enjoy your lovely holiday
Thanks Successful Kate! I will set those goals and aim to tick each one off. I pretty sure I can graduate (fingers crossed) but really need staying power there after. I think this forum will help, you guys are all great motivators X
Hi Poppy, yes after graduation. I feel I'm doing great now, but need to look to use this as a long term life style change. I really don't want to get to a point where I don't remain motivated. Any tips will help!
Thanks Poppy, I will download Strength and Stamina, great idea. I will definitely look for a local park run but I might build my running distance nearer 5k first as I don't want to try and be put off. Yes I will stay with the forum, brilliant motivators!
Just keep doing what your already doing, doing great! You could start doing Parkrun's for motivation, your not too far from Polzeath, Port Isaac, Tintagel & Boscastle, worth a visit..😊
