Ok, after being a little dispondant the other day I'm back on track after a 30 minute run today. I paced myself much better today and breathed deeply from the start rather than waiting til I was out of breath. I covered 4.72 K , which isn't bad for a 20 stone 43 year old novice. I did notice it was no where near as humid this morning as it was Tuesday.

I've done three 30 minute runs in total now, but it took me a little over a week to achieve this as there was a 15 minute 'practice run' sandwiched in between. Does that mean I've graduated or do I have to wait until I do three in the week?

I ran pretty much the same distance as you in the same time this morning; I'm just over half your weight so as far as I'm concerned it's a huge 'hats off' to you, you've done fantastically well. Ignore the 'practice run' and grab that badge - you've more than earned it.

Best of luck.

Thanks Jonesycat . It's amazing how much better it felt this morning. I've come to the conclusion that the more you dread a run the better it goes.

Yep - sort of a reverse Sod's Law! And agreed - it did feel a lot fresher today which helps no end.

Thanks everyone. As a side issue I've just weighed myself earlier and I can no longer say I'm 20 stone. 19 stone and plenty, yes, but not 20 stone. Today has been a good day. One quick question, if you are using this forum on a mobile device where is the link to get the graduate badge. Thanks again all. I'm overwhelmed by the messages of support.
