Its been alongside time sińce i posted on here. I haven't given up the running but I did have a bit of a bad patch with running. I just had no energy and the effort to run was almost painful. It's been a bit of a uphill climb but I've just managed my first this year 33 minute run today. My fastest time last year was 33:38. I've been struggling to get anywhere near this time. At last. Mentally I have challenged myself to try to get closer to a 30 minute 5k. That's my challenge and I'm sticking to it. Strangely I seem to run better in the rain.

The main thing is you are back and running and have a goal to keep you motivated 😊

Yes I am it's taken a while but I'm glad to know that I can beat the fatigue in the end. I'm so looking forward to seeing if I can crack the 32 minutes. That would be great.

Hi there.. welcome back :)

Build back up to it, slow and steady? Focus on just running and let it evolve maybe...you will be reaching your target before you know it...it happened to me, very sneakily, and now up to 7K+

Rain running... great! I have learned to embrace the rain... and the wind... and the HILLS!!! :)

Looking forwards to your next post:)

I will build it up slowly like you suggest. I hear 7k is easier than 5k can't quite believe it myself. I can add an extra 1k quite easily, but I think I will have a tiny rest after the 5k then carry on with a 1k extra. See how things progress but only once a week in the beginning. It's surprising how different scheme work out for you. I tried stop walk a little didn't help at all if it interrupted a full 5k.
