So...I said I'd have a go, and did most of their second run of week 2 with them, and then today I did the third run of week 2 with them, so it was their 6th run and my first complete run, but it seemed to go ok!
I have been feeling low in energy and mood and a bit tired and achey, especially my knees, though nothing specifically wrong, so wasn't planning to do this, but since I was out there anyway I had a go and today I seemed to manage ok, kept up etc so..maybe I will see what week 3 is like, tho am aware that I didn't do week 1..

Thank you I'm certainly not as achey as I expected, given how I've been lately anyway..can't believe I ran for a total of nine minutes today
Had to listen to an ebook on my phone (my sister has the podcast on her mp3 and tells us what to do, that's what she was doing with the kids before I started) as I get so bored exercising and that's usually been my undoing in the past, and I have a habit which I can't stop, of counting so I know how soon I can stop. It feels a bit negative so I decided to listen to an ebook only when I ran so it would help me try and enjoy it and also distract me and stop me counting and the time definitely went quicker today even tho we were running three minutes instead of two at a time. We will see..but went ok today :--)

I do the counting thing too, though not as often as I used to when I was younger. Really annoying isn't it? I used to have to count stairs, paces on the treadmill, walking to the station etc. etc. usually in sets of about 20.
I am so looking forward to ditching Laura (no offence Laura) and seeing if I can run to an ebook. I've got an Audible account and haven't made the most of it lately.
Keep up the smugness, it gets even better the more you run
Oh..wow...a fellow counter!!! I can't stop myself, and it kind of gets in the way of me trying to just settle down and accept that I am running and try and be ok with that instead of chafing against it and counting the seconds off..if that doesn't sound silly..I ended up in the middle of the Mad Hatter's Teaparty which seemed somehow appropriate and I couldn't find how to get back to the beginning so went with that, and it definitely helped. It stopped suddenly today for the last run as my phone refused to download any more and I definitely preferred the story as had no distraction. So I bought a new MP3 player today for about £2.00 on Amazon and hope it does the job instead.
Today was W3 R2 and although I had a muscle (or something) niggle which started on the first or second run and I thought had gone away, we all thought it had gone amazingly well, as we had found the last three minutes a bit hard last time, so, yes, the smugness continues but we are all quailing about next week as took a peep and week 4 looks sooo much harder!!
