Two week break from running

I decided to not run for two weeks as I was going on holiday and I had read somewhere that some people recommend a two week annual break to give the body time to repair. I found the experience quite positive. First run after the break this morning and I did not find it too difficult so I haven't lost my form. Put on a few pounds though. Never mind. I'm sure that will sort itself out after a while.
