Well out at the usual time looked at the black clouds forming in the distance but wasn't overly concerned as I knew i would be finished before it started. Actually managed to syn Laura with mapmyrun(okay 2 seconds out) and we're off nice slow plod round the route and before you know it I am over the bridge on the uphill leg of the main part of the route some sarcastic voice comes over you've done 2k would you like to increase you pace well no I don't so keep the same rate turn into the final section passed my house back up the hill round the the rest home laura calls time start your cool down now walked home and found I covered just over 5k the distance might sound alot but it does take in consideration the two 5 mins at the start and finish however it will be interesting to see how I get on when the run is for a full 30 minutes. Now for two days rest and on to W8
Last run of week 7 : Well out at the usual time... - Couch to 5K
Last run of week 7
Just over 5k! Is that all? Slacking Matey That's amazing, you must be chuffed to bits. I'll see you in week 8 (in the distance)
I didn't sync Runkeeper and Laura this morning but switched on Runkeeper after and before the two walks. My pace looks much more impressive but then my distance dropped on Runkeeper, though it is more or less the same as I have been doing. I think that I will be closer to 40 mins for 5K but I am not concerned about that. It is about being able to keep going for 30 mins which I am fairly confident I can do. But well done you on completing week 7. Now it is on to the penultimate week.
Another one and in the bag - great stuff - enjoy the rest.
It's good to hear you chat to 'them' too.
See you next week
Well done you.. did you get wet?
You've done well! That's effectively 5k in 40 minutes so if your running pace is slightly faster than your walk you won't be far off! If not on graduation, it won't be long until you get there for sure. But as Oldfloss says, the 30 minutes is the key for now! Keepit up!
