I did my first run last night!

Hi,

Finally, after about 15 years of saying I'd like to take up running, I did my first run last night. I downloaded the C25K app approx. a year ago, but didn't do anything with it (as usual). Then I suddenly decided at the weekend I was going to do it, so I did.

Am aching today but looking forward to having another go tomorrow night.

Good luck everybody, just starting feels great. Why did I leave it so long....?

Well done Katie

I've not long graduated and asked myself the same question! Why hadn't I done it before?!

But I have now and so will you X

Great decision - it's one of the best decisions you'll ever make! The programme is great. Stick at it and you'll continue to surprise yourself. Go slow, stretch, take your rest days and you'll be a runner before you know it!

The forum is one of the best places on the internet. It's full of incredible, inspirational people so do make use of it for advice, encouragement and to let everyone celebrate your successes with you! Post after your runs and let us know how you're getting on. We'll be with you every step of the way :)

Before long you will look forward to the runs, look forward to the challenge. And whenever Laura says "you're probably feeling tired now" she somehow manages to spur you on. My "light jog" is more of a "light plod", but who cares?
