I've done a couple of 30 minute runs since finishing C25K but found I was missing the structure of the program. I now use the Nike + running app but I don't like not really knowing how far in I am. So today I tried Couch to 5k +
I'm SO glad I did, I really, really enjoyed it. Yay Laura, My fastest mile and have gone in a single run from running 3.2km to 3.98km in 30mins. Ok so I've got a way to go before being able to do 5km in 30mins but I felt like it was a decent pace and I was definitely making progress and it just seemed to fly by. 😀 Onwards and upwards.

I use runkeeper, which is a free app that tracks how far you've run and in what time etc. Great thing is you can program it to give you updates on how far you've run whilst you're going, and you can also add things like your average pace. I get it to tell me every 5 mins my total time, average pace, and total distance so far. It's really encouraging and you can listen to your own music in the background. Would highly recommend it!
I tried the Stamina podcast this morning and it really improved my run. Looking forward to trying it again and the other podcasts. Pity about the music !
Yes I ran with the couch to 5k+ last night and was pleasantly surprised how good it was for keeping my pace and with Laura encouraging to keep going and prompting you about keeping your form made the workout a good one.
